As We May Think

 I just finished reading the article titled As We May Think by Vannevar Bush. The article itself was groundbreaking as it predicted a lot of modern technology that we have today. What impressed me the most about this article were some of the concepts that Vannevar Bush was coming up with in 1945. One example of this was what he called the "memex" which was sort of a memory device that helped retain and store knowledge/information. This not only reminds me of the internet, but also the brain chips that Elon Musk has openly confirmed are being made/tested. All in all the article was fascinating and really showed how spot on Vannevar Bush was in predicting future technology.

Meditation

  I recently tried out the 45 meditation session that Professor Dinehart sent to us, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. While I don't meditate very often, I found that this particular session helped me to relax and clear my mind. The relaxing white noise helped me focus. By the end of the session, I felt much more relaxed and centered, and I found myself looking forward to trying the meditation again in the future. With all the school work I've had recently it was nice to take a step back and relax. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the experience, and I would definitely recommend it to others who are looking to incorporate meditation into their daily routine.

Portrait Illustrator

  I hate Adobe Illustrator. Plain and simple, this is the piece that made me absolutely hate this program. Making a landscape wasn’t too bad, but when it came to portraits I had a miserable time. This took me more time than I care to admit and it is atrocious. I really couldn’t figure out how to do a nose or skin. I just had no idea what I was doing. I watched multiple YouTube videos and I just could not get it right. I hope I never have to use illustrator again.
